Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler Pacifica Win in Ideal Vehicle Awards! Recently AutoPacific,a future-oriented automotive marketing research and product-consulting firm, released the annual winners in their Ideal Vehicle Awards. The Jeep Grand Cherokee was awarded “Best in Class Ideal Mid-Size SUV” while the Chrysler Pacifica was named “Best in Class Ideal Minivan.” The awards are based on responses from over 65,000 owners of new model-year 2016 and 2017 vehicles across all major manufacturers. Owners were surveyed after 90 days of ownership and asked what changes they would make their vehicle in 15 categories, including ride and handling, interior storage, safety features, and more.
This marks the seventh consecutive year that the Jeep Grand Cherokee has won the Ideal Vehicle Award for Mid-Size SUV, with owners indicating that driving the model meets or exceeds their expectations. “The Grand Cherokee is a perennial best-in-class winner in AutoPacific’s Ideal Vehicle Awards,” said George Peterson, President of AutoPacific. “Its excellent design, capability and breadth of the product offering contribute to Grand Cherokee’s award-winning ways.”
The Chrysler Pacific has enjoyed an outstanding year with awards, winning KBB’s Best Minivan Buy of 2017, Consumer Guide’s 2017 Family Vehicle Best Buy, The Most Fuel Efficient Minivan of All Time, Ward’s 10 Best Interiors, and more. This marks the first year that the Chrysler Pacifica has won the Ideal Vehicle Image Award for the Minivan segment. “Chrysler’s new Pacifica minivan checks all the boxes a minivan owner desires. Pacifica is the minivan that most closely meets the expectations of its buyers,” said Peterson. “As the inventors of the minivan 35 years ago, the Chrysler Pacifica shows Chrysler designers, planners and engineers understand minivans best.”
