By | Chrysler Car News | No Comments

2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Named Best Green Car to Buy! Green Car Reports has named the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Mini-Van the Best Green Car to buy for 2018 because “it’s a one-of-a-kind vehicle: the sole seven-seat minivan with a plug-in hybrid powertrain sold in the U.S. this year. Not only does it offer all the virtues of the well-received Chrysler Pacifica, it offers substantial real-world electric range—30 miles or more in most cases—and much better fuel economy when operating as a hybrid.”

The non-hybrid version of the vehicle was also recently named a best buy by the Car Connection. Recently the model added  4G LTE Wifi and Unlimited Data, provided by AT&T, for use in connection with is UConnect display platform to compete with the Honda Odyssey, which also offers a similar plan.

Car Connection explains why they chose the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica as the best car to buy in 2018, “The Pacifica seamlessly melds an attractive exterior shape with a functional and versatile interior. Available in seven- or eight-seat configurations, the Pacifica comes equipped as standard with Chrysler’s ace in the minivan class: Stow ‘n Go seats. The fold-and-tumble function neatly stows the seats into the floor to make use of the minivan’s capacious interior for home-improvement store hauls, car parts runs, or even as a makeshift hotel before an eclipse. Parents will also appreciate the Pacifica’s numerous available family-friendly features such as an in-car vacuum, second-row touchscreens and entertainment, and numerous USB ports.”

Chrysler Pacifica Wins Best Minivan in DNA Awards

Chrysler Pacifica Wins Best Minivan in DNA Awards! Recently, the New York Daily News announced winners of their DNA awards and the Chrysler Pacifica was named the Best Minivan. The New York Daily News explains the inception and purpose of the awards: “At Daily News Autos, our team of writers, editors, and contributors is committed to providing the best guidance possible about the vehicles people actually buy. In order to do that, and to the best of our ability, we need to put ourselves in your shoes, understanding your requirements, lifestyle, and intentions given the vehicle segment in which you are shopping. In 2016, in an effort to answer this simple yet complex question for as many people as possible, we launched the annual Daily News Autos Awards. In choosing the winners in a multitude of vehicle classes, we seek to nominate those models that best represent the “DNA” of a specific segment. The cars, SUVs, trucks, and minivans that win DNA Awards not only contain the core requirements and characteristics necessary to credibly serve their expected functions, but also reflect superior genetic makeup in terms of design, engineering, innovation, value, and dynamism.”

The Chrysler Pacific has enjoyed an outstanding year with awards, winning KBB’s Best Minivan Buy of 2017, Consumer Guide’s 2017 Family Vehicle Best BuyThe Most Fuel Efficient Minivan of All TimeWard’s 10 Best Interiors, and more. The editors share why they chose the Pacifica as their best minivan for 2017, “Clearly, there is no better vehicle for daily family life than a minivan. And among minivans, for 2017, there is no better choice than the Chrysler Pacifica. The Pacifica replaced the Town & Country this year, and the completely redesigned vehicle vaulted Chrysler from zero to hero within the minivan segment. Stylish, enjoyable to drive, loaded with technology, and available with a traditional V6 engine or as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, the roomy Pacifica is both sophisticated and sensible. It’s safe, too, loaded with available driver assistance, collision avoidance, and teen driver monitoring systems. FCA Files Trademark for "Cuda" Name

FCA Files Trademark for “Cuda” Name

By | Chrysler Car News, FCA News | No Comments

FCA Files Trademark for “Cuda” Name! A few months ago we excitedly reported that Jeep is working on bringing back its beloved Jeep Wagoneer but according to new reports, FCA might have plans to bring back the Barracuda. The Plymouth Barracuda, originally built from 1964 to 1974, was a muscular two-door car and the original pony car, predating the Ford Mustang by a month. The Plymouth Barracuda, which was housed under the Chrysler brand, still enjoys a fairly fanatical following from American performance car enthusiasts.

Although Chrysler’s branding has changed over the years, many rumors suggest that FCA could introduce a new Barracuda branded as a Dodge, which is now known as the performance car division of FCA. The automaker already filed for rights to the Barracuda name in 2015, but they also recently filed a new application for the common abbreviation “Cuda,” sparking more rumors that a revamped Cuda is on the way. Some rumors believe the new Barracuda could essentially be a convertible version of the next-generation Dodge Challenger, which is expected around 2020.
